Rho Psi Society Youth Award Program (12/10)

1. Objective and Scope

To further promote Chinese youth Physical and Mental development, the scope of the Youth Award Program is expanded to include the following 5 Scholarships:

  1. Leadership and Community Service Scholarship(領袖暨服務獎學金)
  2. Sports Scholarship(運動技能獎學金)
  3. Science & Technology Scholarship(科技獎學金)
  4. Need Based Scholarship(升學輔助獎學金)
  5. Art and Performance Scholarship(才藝技能獎學金)

2. Organization

The IOTA Chapter of Rho Psi Society, will serve as the operating organization. The primary responsibility of the Youth Award Committee and the Scholarship Subcommittees will include award planning, fund raising, scholarship planning, selection and presentation, etc.

Rho Psi Foundation will serve as the funding organization. The primary responsibility will be providing matching fund and contribution/award fund management. The detailed proposal will be presented to the Board of Rho Psi Foundation for approval.

3. Member Contribution and Matching Fund

IOTA Chapter of Rho Psi Society will conduct yearly fund raising for member contribution to the Scholarships. Contributors will have the option to indicate preferred individual Scholarship for their contributions.

General Rho Psi Foundation Fund will match and subsidize the member contributions, limited up to $20,000 per year.

4. Award and Ceremony

All awards of the Scholarships have to be openly competed.  Award presentation ceremony will be dedicated to the objective of the Youth Award Program. The award ceremony format and Scholarship candidate/recipient presentation/performance will be decided by the Award Committee.

    I am a piano teacher in Maryland state. My student’s parent sent me this website. We are thinking maybe we can enter my students for the Art and Performance Scholarship Competition. Whom should we contact with about all the requirements. Should we be a member…?
